Cenk Uygur is running for election for President of the United States. He declared candidacy for the Democratic convention scheduled on August 20, 2024. Uygur was a candidate in two 2020 races for California’s 25th Congressional District: the regular election and the special election. The primaries for both elections took place on March 3, 2020. As of his 2020 campaign, Uygur had worked as a lawyer, a TV producer, and a talk radio host. He founded or co-founded several political organizations, including The Young Turks, Wolf Pac, and Justice Democrats. Uygur received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Columbia Law School.
