A former prosecutor, state senator, and successful businessman, William Timmons was named vice chair of the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress. Timmons is concerned with budget process, technology, new member orientation, and the House calendar and schedule, but in the 117th Congress the panel’s focus has turned to polarization. After law school, he took a job as an assistant county prosecutor for four years, where he helped create a centralized court for domestic violence cases in Greenville County. Timmons owns multiple small businesses, including Swamp Rabbit CrossFit, the law firm Timmons & Company LLC, and Soul Yoga.
