Common Ground Scorecard for Tim Ryan
U.S. House
Tim Ryan (OH-13 - D)
[Running for Senate.] Tim Ryan is a stout defender of labor unions, his blue-collar congressional district, and mindfulness, a form of meditation. His opposition to trade pacts, along with advocacy of a higher minimum wage and protections for unionized workers, make Ryan one of the highest-rated members of Congress on labor union scorecards. In 1995, just out of college, he went to work as an aide to Democratic Rep. James A. Traficant Jr. In 2000, the year Ryan finished law school, he was elected to the Ohio state Senate.
