Common Ground Scorecard for Thomas Suozzi
U.S. House
Thomas Suozzi (NY-3 - D)
Tom Suozzi is a self-described “common sense Democrat who gets things done” and a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus. Suozzi, a certified public accountant and a member of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, has made clear he would not support any changes to the tax code unless the cap was raised or suspended. After completing his law degree in 1989, he went on to clerk for a New York federal judge for a year, then spent three years as a commercial litigator. From 1994 to 2001, Suozzi served as mayor of Glen Cove.
