Common Ground Scorecard for Thomas Massie
U.S. House
Thomas Massie (KY-4 - R)
Thomas Massie, a Republican rebel aligned with the libertarian views of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology-trained inventor with 24 patents and an electric car, an ardor for limited government, and a penchant for lonely dissents on lopsided House votes. Massie has opposed bipartisan compromises to avert significant policy logjams and seems to relish in the criticism he’s amassed from Washington political figures in both parties. After MIT, he founded a company called SensAble Technologies Inc. to sell a type of computer interface.
