Steve Chabot has been at the center of some of the most divisive debates in politics during his years in Congress. He served as one of the 13 House members who prosecuted the post-impeachment Senate trial of Bill Clinton and denounced the impeachment of Donald Trump. He favors the creation of a simpler, flatter, tax code and supports a balanced budget amendment. Prior to entering politics, Chabot was in private law practice, taught political science at the University of Cincinnati, and served as chairman of the Boy Scouts of Cincinnati.
