Stephen Lynch is a mainstream Democrat who styles himself as an advocate for the lunch bucket-lugging laborers he remembers from his days as an ironworker in South Boston. Lynch has also focused on cyberespionage against the U.S. government and private businesses, including attacks on the American election system. He was a labor and employment attorney from 1991 to 2001 who first ran for state office in 1994.
