Randy Feenstra hails from a small farming town in Iowa in the state’s most conservative district. Farmers are a top priority for him, as well as ethanol producers, helping to explain his placement on the House Agriculture Committee. Coming from an agriculture-heavy district, Feenstra focuses on farmers surviving the coronavirus pandemic and its fallout. Feenstra got his start in government at the local level, serving six years as the city administrator for Hull, Iowa, a city of about 2,300 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
