Governor Phil Scott has consistently focused on economic and affordability issues during his three terms as Governor of Vermont. Scott has made critical investments in economic and workforce development, housing, childcare and early learning, career technical training, higher education, clean water, and addressing the opioid crisis. For more than thirty years, Scott was a co-owner of his family construction business and active in community service projects. He served in the state Senate as Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee and as Lieutenant Governor before ascending to his current role.
