Since taking office in 2018, Governor Phil Murphy has focused on building a stronger, fairer, and more affordable New Jersey. Under the governor’s leadership, New Jersey has emerged as a pioneer in the deployment of clean energy technologies and a model for social justice. Prior to entering public life, Governor Murphy worked for over twenty years at Goldman Sachs, where he led offices in Germany and Hong Kong. In 2006, he was appointed National Finance Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and from 2009 until 2013, served as the United States Ambassador to The Federal Republic of Germany.
