Governor Pete Ricketts has taken on leadership roles in local, state, and national associations and organizations. After graduate school, Ricketts worked for Union Pacific before eventually becoming the President and COO of his family’s business, Ameritrade. He has served on the boards of TD Ameritrade, the Chicago Cubs baseball team, Jobs for America’s Graduates, Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation, Opportunity Education Foundation, and the Mid-American Council of the Boy Scouts. Since taking office, Governor Ricketts has delivered tax relief, reduced the rate of state spending growth, developed Nebraska’s workforce, cut red tape, and expanded international markets for Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers.
