Arizona Republican Paul Gosar represents one of the most conservative districts in the state and says he “pursues policies that allow for more individual liberty and less government involvement” by seeking to advance proposals that would reduce federal spending and regulations. Increasingly he’s been in the spotlight for championing extreme far-right causes with rhetorical and legislative broadsides against those he opposes. The lawmaker has promoted a variety of conspiracy theories, including what he views as “deep state” efforts within the government to undermine conservative officials and policies. A former dentist, Gosar ran a dental practice in Flagstaff for 25 years.
