Nicholas J. LaLota was born in New York and lives in Amityville, New York. LaLota served in the U.S. Navy from 1996 to 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis in 2000, a master’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University in 2012, and a law degree from Hofstra University in 2020. LaLota’s career experience includes working as the chief of staff and an elections commissioner with Suffolk County, the chief of staff and Long Island director with the New York State Senate, and a veterans advocate with the U.S. House of Representatives.
