Mike Pence (IN - R)
Mike Pence (R) is the former vice president of the United States. He served alongside President Donald Trump (R) from 2017 to 2021. He officially filed to run for president on June 5, 2023. Pence highlighted the economy, abortion issues, and his religious background as central themes of his campaign. Pence said he would make the tax cuts passed during the Trump administration permanent, reduce fiscal spending, and support investment in domestic energy production and security at the U.S.-Mexico border. Pence also said he would appoint federal judges who would “stand for the sanctity of human life” and said he would “not relent until we restore the sanctity of Life to the center of American law in every state in the land!” Before assuming office as vice president, Pence served as the governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017, and as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.
