Maura Healey was born at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. Healey graduated from Winnacunnet High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1992 and a juris doctor from Northeastern University in 1998. Healey’s career experience includes working as a private practice attorney with the firm of Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale & Dorr; a prosecutor with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office; the head of the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office; and the chief of the Public Protection and Business & Labor Bureaus of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
