The son of a former president of the Florida State Senate, Gaetz has drawn attention for his wholehearted support of President Trump. While an undergraduate at Florida State University, Gaetz interned for several state legislators in Tallahassee. After law school at William & Mary in Virginia, he returned to Florida and worked as an attorney focusing on real estate, employment, property insurance, and contract law.
