Nevada’s Mark Amodei’s is the only Republican in the state’s congressional delegation. In Congress, his focus has been addressing land management and the ways in which ranchers, miners, and other residents can use the state’s natural resources with minimal federal interference. Amodei earned a law degree in 1983 from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge Law School and then entered the U.S. Army, where he served until 1987 as a member of the Judge Advocate General Corps.
