Common Ground Scorecard for Madeleine Dean
U.S. House
Madeleine Dean (PA-4 - D)
Madeleine Dean was elected to Congress in 2018 with plans to bolster gun control, protect women’s rights and health care, and eliminate toxic chemicals from drinking water. But her legislative priorities expanded as the coronavirus pandemic, the police killing of George Floyd, and pressing the case against President Donald Trump became key issues during her first few years in Congress. After graduating from law school, she worked for the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, where she became executive director, before starting a three-woman law office. Then, while raising her three children, she taught English at LaSalle University.
