La’Ron Singletary was born and raised in Rochester, New York and is a graduate of the Rochester City School District. He joined the Rochester Police Department, serving in a variety of assignments and receiving numerous awards. Singletary graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy Session #266 and in 2016 received the International Association of Chiefs of Police 40 Under 40 Award. Singletary ultimately rose through the ranks to become Police Chief in the City that made him the man he is today.
