Outstanding Commmon Grounder Commentary

Championed common ground with an ad following the Capitol attack saying, "We can disagree, we can debate, but we must do so without comtempt. We are losing too many friends, distancing too many family members, and tearing at the fabric of our democracy. Regardless of our political views, we can all speak with kindess, disagree with respect, and listen, really listen, to each other." Also championed common ground by co-authoring an op-ed with his campaign opponent saying, "We join together to ask that our fellow politicians, especially those already in positions of power, to bridge divides when possible and to show restraint in engaging in divisive rhetoric. We can no longer afford to have a deeply divided nation. We need to begin again to work together for the common good. We believe everyone from all political viewpoints should come together as Americans to reject this breakdown in our political discourse. We believe that we can disagree without being disagreeable and we can look to find common ground." Won Legislative Action Award from Bipartisan Policy Center.
