Jayme Stevenson served as Vice President of Asset-Backed Finance at Standard & Poor’s Corporation before leaving New York to raise her five children. In 2009, she joined the Darien Board of Selectmen and was elected as First Selectman in 2011, where she remained until her final term, which ended in November of 2021. Beyond Darien’s borders, Stevenson has served on the Western Connecticut Council of Governments, the Southwest Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Connecticut Interlock Risk Management Agency, and as the 1st Vice President of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities.
