Eric Carlson has lived in the city and southwest suburbs of Chicago for more than 50 years, only leaving to serve in the U.S. Army’s elite 75th Ranger Regiment. He worked in the construction trades for nearly 20 years and was a member of the Carpenters and Roofers Unions in Chicago. Carlson currently manages and operates two nonprofit organizations; one assists veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and the second conducts disaster response operations across the country.
