Common Ground Scorecard for David Trone
U.S. House
David Trone (MD-6 - D)
One of David Trone’s first major actions in Congress was to launch the bipartisan Freshmen Working Group on Addiction, and to host multiple workshops and tours educating colleagues and others about the opioid crisis and drug addiction. For Trone, ending the nation’s opioid epidemic is personal: His nephew Ian died from an overdose in 2016. While still in graduate school, Trone opened a small beer store that over time grew into Total Wine & More. The company is now the country’s largest independent wine retailer.
