Governor Dan McKee began his political career on the Town Council in his hometown of Cumberland. He then was elected Mayor, where he served for 12 years before his election as Lieutenant Governor in 2014. McKee prioritizes accessible government, effective fiscal management, a high-quality public education for all students, equity and justice, and economic development centered on small businesses. McKee owned and operated his own small businesses in the Blackstone Valley for three decades.
