Common Ground Scorecard for Dan Crenshaw
U.S. House
Dan Crenshaw (TX-2 - R)
Dan Crenshaw is part of a new breed of young Republicans in Congress: savvy on social media, able to speak to a base heading further right, but also one who is at ease on mainstream Sunday and late-night talk shows. In his first term in Congress, Crenshaw notched some legislative wins by getting a handful of homeland security bills he authored passed by the House. Upon graduation from Tufts University with a degree in international affairs, he entered active duty and became a SEAL. He was deployed overseas, where he was seriously injured in an improvised explosive device blast. His right eye was destroyed, and his left eye temporarily blinded.
