It’s hard to find a more steadfast ally of President Donald Trump than Dan Bishop, who shares Trump’s policy views on most issues and calls the president “the greatest fighter ever to occupy the White House.” Bishop also echoes the president’s lacerating attacks on what both men characterize as “socialist Democrats” and a “fake news media.” Bishop was born and raised in Charlotte and majored in business administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also received his law degree. He was elected to the state House in 2014 and to the state Senate in 2016.
