Common Ground Scorecard for Cliff Bentz
U.S. House
Cliff Bentz (OR-2 - R)
Cliff Bentz, a conservative water lawyer and rancher who served more than a decade in Oregon’s statehouse, said he would “protect and improve” the areas that make up Oregon’s largest congressional district. The devastating wildfires in Oregon during the 2020 campaign created an opening for Bentz to take aim at forest-management practices he said made the state’s forests vulnerable to wildfires. After law school, he joined the law firm of Yturri, O’Kief, Rose and Burnham in Ontario, Ore., where he became a partner in 1981. He continues to practice law part time, specializing in ranch reorganizations and water law.
