Much of Buddy Carter’s work in Congress has focused on health care and the high cost of prescription drugs, passing several laws aimed at drug pricing during the Trump administration. Carter worked as a pharmacist and then pharmacy manager for eight years before opening his own store in Pooler, GA in 1988. His career in politics stretches back to a stint on the Pooler zoning and planning commission between 1989 and 1993. He also served on the city council from 1993 to 1994 and was mayor between 1996 and 2000.
