Brian Mast lost his legs in a 2010 bomb blast in Afghanistan that changed the course of his life and eventually led him to what he describes as a new battlefield on Capitol Hill. Mast was managing a day-trader business and working in an office when he decided to join the Special Forces. After his injuries, the family moved to Fort Lauderdale and he took a job with the Department of Homeland Security.
