Common Ground Scorecard for Brad Sherman
U.S. House
Brad Sherman (CA-32 - D)
Brad Sherman, bespectacled with a furrowed brow, looks like an accountant. That is because he is a CPA, in addition to being an attorney. In fact, he is co-chairman of the CPA and Accountants Caucus. After getting his law degree, he returned to California to practice tax law and in 1990 was elected to the five-member Board of Equalization. He was known for being a stickler for detail and earned a reputation as a tax-policy wonk.
