Bill Huizenga (MI-4 - R)
As with most House Financial Services Committee Republicans, Bill Huizenga is a longtime opponent of the Dodd-Frank Act, the regulatory bill enacted during the Obama Administration in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. He has joined GOP members in attempting to reign in the power of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was created by the 2010 law. He started investing in real estate while in college. After graduation, he went into the real estate business and also was involved in the family’s gravel business.
