Former F-22 pilot August Pfluger, who was a National Security Council adviser to President Donald Trump, has pitched himself as someone that will “stand up to the socialists and liberal elites in Washington.” Pfluger’s joined Congress, representing Texas’s 11th Congressional District, following a nearly two-decade career as an Air Force colonel before he joined the NSC. Pfluger’s focus is on issues such as national security, oil and gas, and agriculture that also reflect his Western Texas district.
