Common Ground Scorecard for Anna Eshoo
U.S. House
Anna Eshoo (CA-16 - D)
Anna Eshoo’s long-time interest in health care and technology converged significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic as she sought to fight online misinformation about vaccines and push for better internet access to allow more people to access telemedicine. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, her close friend and fellow Californian, has called Eshoo the “godmother” of net neutrality, the concept that web traffic should be treated equally for all users. Eshoo went to college near San Francisco, getting an associate degree in English, before becoming involved in local politics.
