Common Ground Scorecard for Alex Mooney
U.S. House
Alex Mooney (WV-2 - R)
Alex Mooney’s priorities are clear: fewer government regulations, a return to the gold standard for the dollar, and an end to taxes when collectors sell their gold and silver. He also wants full constitutional rights for fetuses, regardless of their stage of development. After college, he worked for the local Frederick congressman, Roscoe Bartlett (R) and then the House Republican Conference as a legislative analyst under then-conference chairman John Boehner. In 1998, at age 27, he was elected to the Maryland state Senate.
