Jasmine Crockett was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Crockett earned a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College in 2003 and a juris doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006. Her career experience includes working as an attorney in the areas of criminal defense, civil rights, and personal injury. Crockett has served as a member of the National Bar Association, as the treasurer of the Climate Caucus, as the vice-chair of the Progressive Caucus, with the Dallas Black Criminal Bar Association, and with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
