Tyler Kistner served in a Special Operations unit known as the Marine Raiders and completed four overseas tours. He advanced to command over 500 U.S. and partner nation personnel on numerous counterterrorism operations. After nine years of active duty, Kistner transitioned to the Marine reserves and moved back home to Minnesota. He believes Congress would be a whole lot more functional if every representative viewed their job as a service, not a status.
