Granger is one of the most senior Republican women in the House. During a career in Congress that spans more than two decades, she has focused on national security and foreign affairs, earning a reputation as an intelligent and hard-nosed policy maker. Granger became the first female mayor of Fort Worth in 1991, after stints on the Fort Worth Zoning Commission and the City Council.
