Ben Cline’s career on Capitol Hill goes back to when he worked for Bob Goodlatte, his predecessor representing his Virginia district. Cline served on Goodlatte’s staff for nine years, including as the congressman’s chief of staff. After graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law, he worked as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for Rockingham County and Harrisonburg for six years. He also served for 16 years in the Virginia House of Delegates, where he was chairman of the Conservative Caucus.
