Common Ground Scorecard for Linda Sanchez
U.S. House
Linda Sanchez (CA-38 - D)
Linda Sánchez, who describes herself as a “leading progressive voice,” champions issues such as immigration overhaul, education and health care. A daughter of immigrants from Mexico, Sánchez said in a February 2021 press release that sponsoring the U.S. Citizenship Act was personal to her, adding that it represents “long-overdue permanent protections.” After law school, Sánchez worked as a civil rights lawyer and then as the executive secretary-treasurer for the Orange County Central Labor Council. She worked for her older sister’s successful House campaigns in 1996 and 1998 against Republican firebrand Bob Dornan.
