Kirsten Gillibrand is one of the Senate’s liberal linchpins, working closely with her New York colleague, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, to push through President Joe Biden’s agenda, including items she’s long advocated for such as paid family leave, an increased minimum wage, and equal pay for equal work. Gillibrand worked at the Manhattan firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell and became a partner at Boies, Schiller & Flexner in 2001. She also spent time in Washington as special counsel to Cuomo when he was Clinton’s secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
