Much of Bill Pascrell’s attention in the 117th Congress has been devoted to resolving issues left over from the Trump administration. That includes the Trump tax overhaul, Louis DeJoy’s leadership at the United States Postal Service, the fight for the former president’s tax returns and the fallout from the 2020 presidential election. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1962 and in the Army Reserves until 1967. After leaving the Army, Pascrell became a high school teacher and later an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 1979, he was appointed to the Paterson Board of Education.
