Joseph Morelle (NY-25 - D)
Elected to the House in 2018 after nearly three decades in the New York State Assembly, Joe Morelle represents a district that includes the city of Rochester and his home suburb of Irondequoit. His state and national agendas have been closely aligned, particularly on what he calls poverty-fighting issues. He supported the legislative priorities of President Joe Biden, touting the child tax credit and local infrastructure projects back home. He started his political career at age 24 by running for a seat in the Monroe County legislature. He was elected on his second try and served two terms before running successfully for the New York State Assembly.
