Austin Scott (GA-8 - R)
Austin Scott has carved out a niche as a stalwart small-government conservative who’s also steadfastly protective of his rural district’s farmers and its two Air Force bases. His priorities include efforts that would streamline the disaster relief process, rural development, particularly extending broadband to underserved areas, and reviewing crop insurance and federal price support for commodities. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in risk management, Scott worked in insurance and opened his own agency in Tifton. Scott was elected to the Georgia House in 1996.
