Common Ground Scorecard for Lance Gooden
U.S. House
Lance Gooden (TX-5 - R)
Texas Republican Lance Gooden says he’s a “proven conservative” who supports efforts to cut taxes, reduce regulatory burdens on industry, and build a wall along the Mexican border. While his district includes much of eastern Dallas and exurban and rural areas to its east, Gooden has focused attention on the U.S-Mexico border in southern Texas and immigration issues. At the University of Texas in Austin, Gooden earned undergraduate degrees in finance and government. He went to work as an insurance broker for energy and energy-related companies.
