Common Ground Scorecard for Mike Lee
U.S. Senate
Mike Lee (UT - R)
Mike Lee is one of the Senate’s most unflinching and dedicated conservatives, though his libertarian notions of limited government and individual freedom and responsibility sometimes clash with his party’s leaders and policies. He twice was a clerk for Justice Samuel Alito, first at the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Newark, N.J., and later at the Supreme Court. Lee also worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in Salt Lake City and as general counsel for then-Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman.
