Common Ground Scorecard for Elise Stefanik
U.S. House
Elise Stefanik (NY-21 - R)
Elise Stefanik’s profile has been on a meteoric rise in the past few years as she emerged as a leading advocate for Republican women running for office and, in the 117th Congress, she was chosen to replace Liz Cheney. Her outspoken Trump support earned her the backing of House GOP leaders and Trump himself. After graduation, Stefanik joined Bush’s White House and from 2006 to 2009, she worked on the Domestic Policy Council and in the chief of staff’s office. She was later the communications director for the Foreign Policy Initiative, which forged a coalition of think tanks to oppose sequestration.
