Common Ground Scorecard for Jeff Fortenberry
U.S. House
Jeff Fortenberry (NE-1 - R)
[Resigned on March 31, 2022.] Jeff Fortenberry’s conservatism, influenced by his study of economics, theology and public policy, also reflects pursuits more unusual for a Republican lawmaker from a red state: backyard beekeeping and the farm-to-table food movement. He made his way to Lincoln, NE, in 1995 to work in public relations for Sandhills Publishing, a company that publishes trade magazines for the trucking, aircraft and computer industries. He won a seat on the Lincoln City Council in May 1997 and served four years.
