Common Ground Scorecard for Dave Joyce
U.S. House
Dave Joyce (OH-14 - R)
A career county prosecutor with an easygoing manner, Dave Joyce has sought out bipartisan alliances even as he amasses a somewhat more conservative voting record than his Republican predecessor and longtime ally, Steve LaTourette. Joyce has prioritized the restoration of the Great Lakes, pushing the Trump administration’s EPA to fund the cleanup of the ecosystem’s most polluted sites. He was appointed Geauga County prosecutor in January 1988, when he was 30 years old. He began a long professional association with LaTourette, who served as the prosecutor in adjoining Lake County.
