Common Ground Scorecard for John Katko
U.S. House
John Katko (NY-24 - R)
[Retiring at end of current term.] John Katko considers himself a pragmatist who has walked a centrist line since first being elected to Congress in 2014. One of Katko’s biggest priorities is to focus on cybersecurity, including the massive Russian hack of the U.S. government. He had arguably the highest-profile test of his bipartisan bona fides when he joined nine other Republicans in voting for an impeachment resolution in January 2021 that accused then-President Donald Trump of inciting a riot at the U.S. Capitol.
